According to Melania, Donald had a desire for more children.

A Family Built on Love and Luxury Donald and Melania Trump have been married for 20 years. In 2006, they welcomed their only child together, Barron. While Donald focused on his real estate empire, Melania dedicated herself to raising their son. Barron grew up in luxury at Trump Tower. Despite their wealth, Melania put motherhood above everything else.Donald Wanted More Children Donald Trump has five children. But according to Melania, he wanted more. She shared that the reason they didn’t expand their family was simple—she was content with one child. When they met, Donald already had four children. The couple married in 2005 and had Barron soon after. For Melania, it was her first time as a mother. She embraced the role fully.Keeping Barron Out of the Spotlight Melania made it her mission to shield Barron from the media. Yet, the day he was born was an exception. Within 20 minutes of his birth, Donald called the radio show Imus in the Morning to share the news. At the same time, Melania’s website posted that Barron weighed 8½ pounds and was 21 inches long. “Everyone’s perfect,” Donald, then 59, told Imus. “I continue to stay young, right? I produce children; I stay young.”No Nanny by Choice That same day, Donald also called Live with Regis and Kelly. He shared that Barron had arrived more than a week early. Despite their lifestyle, Melania refused to hire a nanny. She insisted on being a hands-on mom. “Barron is 9 years old. He needs a parent around,” Melania told People in 2015. “So I’m with him all the time.”Too much help, she added, means not truly knowing your child. A Creative Child With a Big Imagination Melania supported Barron’s creativity from the start. As a child, he loved drawing—especially on the walls. “In his space, we mixed home décor with what he loved—planes and helicopters,” Melania told Parenting. She added, “He draws on the walls in his playroom. We let him be creative and repaint when needed.” One day, he even wrote “Barron’s Bakery” on the wall. Melania said, “If you keep telling kids ‘no,’ where does the creativity go?” Donald Took a Step Back While Melania stayed close to Barron, Donald focused on business. In a 2005 interview with Larry King, he admitted he wouldn’t be “doing diapers” or “making the food.” Still, Melania made sure Barron spent time with his father. They often dined out, and later, Barron joined him on the golf course. “We know our roles,” Melania once explained. A Loving, Supportive Mother Melania helped Barron with homework and supported his passions. He loved science, math, and dreamed of becoming a golfer, businessman, or pilot. “He wants to be everything,” she said. “This is the age when you introduce him to new things.” Life After High School Barron graduated from Oxbridge Academy in Florida. In September, he enrolled at NYU’s Stern Business School. Although he’s 19, Barron doesn’t live in a dorm. Sources told People that Melania wants to be near him and support his well-being. “She’ll do everything she can to ensure he stays on track,” one source said. “Being home is best for him right now.” A Multilingual Upbringing Melania, originally from Slovenia, raised Barron to speak multiple languages. He speaks Slovenian with his grandparents and has been heard speaking with a Slovenian accent in early interviews. At one point, Melania revealed he spoke three languages. Donald’s Blended Family Before marrying Melania, Donald had two previous marriages. He had three children with Ivana Trump—Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric—and one daughter, Tiffany, with Marla Maples. Barron is the youngest. According to Melania, Donald wanted more kids after Barron’s birth. But Melania felt one was enough. “I was perfectly fine with one,” she said in an interview. “Donald encouraged more, but I had a very busy life.” Teaching Barron About Real Life Melania worked as a successful model before becoming a mother. In her memoir, she described chaotic workdays with books scattered on the floor and Barron playing nearby. She wanted Barron to see what real life looked like. “It’s important that kids see us working,” she told Fox and Friends. “They should know we are productive and have ideas that come to life.” Advice on Blended Families Barron never lived with his step-siblings, but they were a blended family. Melania advised others to embrace individuality. “You can’t control anyone,” she said. “Only your own words and actions. Respect and love matter most.” Proud of Her Son Melania said she raised Barron to be his own person. His decision to live at home while studying in New York was entirely his. “He’s incredible,” Melania said. “I’m proud of his strength, intelligence, and kindness. His life is very different from others his age.” What do you think? Will Barron follow in his father’s political footsteps? Share this story on Facebook and tell us your thoughts!
